Observation is the nature of the Self. Once you observe something deeply, it reveals its true nature by itself in its purest form. And you understand the reality behind it.
Now you need to learn how to express it in words.
And for that you need language, that’s in a conventional sense called learning.
And for that you need language, that’s in a conventional sense called learning.
Before starting to learn something, become familiar with it. Know the ‘basic vocabulary’ and ‘most fundamental idea’ that lie behind it. Don’t be fooled by the mind. Before making the start, be specific whether you really want to learn it to ‘understand’ or just interested in the ‘skill acquisition’ to show others you know something more than them or cramming just for passing the exams.
Once you become familiar with fundamental, specify the key concepts that you wish to learn. Any particular subject has infinite depth. You don’t need to know everything about it. Just concentrate on the ‘key concepts’ that govern ‘that’ particular area of expertise.
After that break it into your own local language. Imagine a simple example of your own. If the theory has no practical application in your life. It’s useless for you. Don’t waste time on cramming. You don’t need to memorize definitions and formulas. The device in your pocket with the internet connection knows it all. You can take help of it. All you have to learn is its ‘practical application in real life’.
Choose an environment that is distraction-free, so that you can focus without losing your peace of mind.
Learn it and then leave it completely. If you really enjoyed it while learning, it will reveal itself on the appropriate time when you need it for practical purposes. And if you didn’t enjoy it while learning, most probably it’s not your niche.
Learning the fundamental part is always a difficult task. You may be a little bit anxious at the start but still, you will enjoy it. And that enjoyment of learning is the simple litmus test that it’s the ‘field of expertise’ that resonates with you. You have more chances of growth and satisfaction in it.
So, let’s sum it once again.
-Active observation is the key to understand.
-To express what you have observed you need ‘language’ that’s called learning.
-Start with the most fundamental part, also called ‘basics’.
-Break the technical jargon into your ‘own local language’ with a real-life example.
-Reduce the burden of your brain by delegating it to the little device in your pocket.
-Remove distractions if any
-Most importantly, enjoy what you learn and learn what you enjoy.
-Once you learned it. Leave it completely.
Time for the next!
