The grown-up: How you know so much about life?
The kid: Life reveals itself to me.
The grown-up: I can't believe it.
The kid: That's your problem.
The grown-up: Can you tell me some practical wisdom?
The kid: ”Craving is the root cause of suffering”.
The grown-up: Who said it?
The kid: Someone about 2500 years ago.
The grown-up: One more, please?
The kid: ”Expectation from others will finally hurt you”.
The grown-up: Who said it?
The kid: My primary schoolmaster, a couple of years back.
The grown-up: And you followed the advice of the first one and stopped expecting anything from others listening to the second one.
The kid: Somewhat like that.
The grown-up: And what these two together gave you?
The kid: ”A constant state of peace.”
The grown-up: But why I’m not able to apply it in my life, practically, instead of knowing the truth?
The kid: Because you're a grown-up.
The grown-up: So what, it means I am...
The kid: Once you become a grown-up, you start dying. And only a child who is alive can learn what is life, not a grown-up who is dead.
The grown-up: I got the point. Thanks for your time. But one last question.
The kid: Yeah, sure
The grown-up: Don’t you think it's little awkward that a grown-up is learning from a child?
The kid: Not at all. ”Because you too are a child in the form of a grown up. The problem is that You’ve forgotten your true self and without your true self, you’ll be forgotten by everyone, and forever.”
The grown up : There is a point but still...
The kid : Thanks for you precious time. Wish you all the best!
